Jos. Koepfer & Söhne GmbH was founded in 1867. In three different companies the KOEPFER group today employs app. 450 people. In 2004 the turnover of the group was about 60 Mio. €.

KOEPFER Zahnrad- und Getriebetechnik GmbH produces high-quality gears and gear boxes especially for the automotive - as well as automotive supply industry as well as for gearbox manufacturers.  Koepfer today designs and develops gears and gear boxes made of metal or plastics as well as gears with special tooth profiles. The design of complete gear boxes is made either to customer drawings or designed by us for a customer application. Equipped with very modern machinery Jos. Koepfer & Söhne is in a position to offer a technical solution according to all of our customer requirements. All different processes to manufacture gears are used.  The injection moulding department is specialized to design and manufacture high accuracy plastic gears.

KOEPFER Verzahnungsmaschinen GmbH & Co. KG develops and produces conventional and CNC-controlled gear hobbing machines at our facility in Schwenningen. Customers for this company division especially are the businesses of the electro tool industry, gear motor manufacturers as well as suppliers for the automotive industry, world-wide.

IMS-KOEPFER Cutting Tools GmbH a joint venture company of Jos. Koepfer & Söhne GmbH and IMS:GEAR GmbH and develops and produces gear cutting tools for all tooth profiles with all profile modifications.
