Jos. Koepfer & Söhne GmbH was founded in 1867. Today the KOEPFER-Group employs about 560 people worldwide in three different companies for gears and gearboxes, machine tools and hobs and cutters.
Effective from 1st of September 2008, the gear manufacturing department is operating under the name KOEPFER Zahnrad- und Getriebetechnik GmbH.
The company is located in Furtwangen and VS-Schwenningen. Subsidiaries in the USA and Hungary as well as partners for the service of the machines assure a world-wide presence.

The knowledge and vast experience of our employees enables us to be a competent partner for our customers throughout the world. KOEPFER looks at itself not only as a supplier of "products around gears" but also as a competent partner and service company for our customers in the very challenging field of gear technology.
